Fairbanks, Alaska (May 4, 2022) Sailors assigned to a West Coast-based SEAL Team perform a personnel recovery during a cold weather training exercise designed to replicate the harsh environment of the Arctic’s High North. The training is part of Naval Special Warfare’s Deploy for Purpose model, an optimized combat-ready force in reserve focused on innovation. This new design gives forces the time and space to experiment and develop new concepts to meet specific operational needs while increasing agility to respond to crises around the globe.
