Naval Special Warfare Join Host India in Exercise MALABAR 24

U.S. Naval Special Warfare (NSW), Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, and Indian Navy Marine Commandos (MARCOS) completed a military-to-military engagement training during the special operations phase of MALABAR 24 on Oct. 14, 2024.

Hosted this year by Colombia, UNITAS is the world’s longest-running maritime exercise bringing together multinational forces from 20 partner nations, training in joint maritime operations that enhance tactical proficiency and increase interoperability. Naval Special Warfare Group 2 produces, trains, supports, and deploys the world’s premier maritime special operations commandos to conduct full-spectrum operations and integrated deterrence that support national objectives. Navy SEALs Enhance Maritime Domain Dominance with Partner Forces in Colombia

East-Coast-Based Naval Special Warfare Operators (SEAL) showcased their capabilities and strengthened international partnerships during their participation in the multinational exercise UNITAS 64. As part of the exercise, SEALs trained alongside partner nation special operations forces in submarine operations, visit, board, search, and seizure (VBSS), and close quarters combat (CQC), reaffirming the importance of collaboration in maritime defense strategies.
