U.S. Navy SEALs, Australian Special Forces conclude Talisman Sabre 2023

U.S. Naval Special Warfare (NSW) forces deployed in support of U.S. Special Operations Command Pacific participated in Exercise Talisman Sabre from July 17 to August 3, 2023. NSW forces worked alongside Australian special operations forces (SOF) from the Army’s 2nd Commando Regiment.

SEAL Team 5Celebrates 40th Anniversary

The sun ascends over the horizon as military personnel make their way onto the compound at Silver Strand Training Complex. After catching their breath from a grueling morning workout, the bagpipes playing in the background orchestrate a calming atmosphere. With the sun now fully visible, five current and past service members step onto the stage in front of approximately 150 personnel to commemorate the 40th anniversary of SEAL Team 5.

A Legacy of Command: Navy SEAL Father-Son Duos Celebrate SBT-22 Change of Command

A family tradition of service was on full display at the recent Special Boat Team 22 (SBT-22) change of command ceremony onboard Stennis Space Center in Mississippi on Oct. 28. Cmdr. Jerry Weers relieved Cmdr. Brad Schoultz as the commanding officer of SBT-22. The event marked a unique happenstance in Naval Special Warfare (NSW) history as both the incoming and outgoing commanding officers of the unit are sons of retired Navy SEAL captains who were also in attendance at the ceremony.
