Steel Knight 2024
Naval Special Warfare Combatant Craft Assault boats approach the well deck of the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) during Steel Knight 24 while underway in the Pacific Ocean, Dec. 5, 2024. Steel Knight is an annual exercise that takes place in multiple locations across the Southwest that allows I Marine Expeditionary Force to train as a full Marine Air-Ground Task Force and better integrate with joint and naval forces. NSW provides maritime special operations capability to enable Joint Force lethality and survivability inside denied and contested areas. Somerset is currently underway in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations participating in Steel Knight 24. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Evan Diaz)
